In East Looe, The Rose Garden and the Seafront will become stages and in West Looe music will be performed on the harbourside near the fire station. There’ll be something for everyone from rock to reggae and folk to funk. Make sure you get booked up soon as word is getting out and places will be hard to find!

East Looe

Looe is the principal seaside town in south-east Cornwall. East Looe is one of the twin towns of East and West Looe. They lie on either side of a deeply wooded river valley in South East Cornwall. Both date back to the middle ages and are full of historic buildings. “Looe in Bloom” is a special attraction in the summer months with many buildings along the narrow streets hung with flower filled baskets. Safe bathing is available from the sandy beach, less than 50 yards level stroll from Sea Breeze. There are other rocky beaches nearby.

As well as being a holiday resort, Looe’s prime activity is as a commercial fishing port. Many trawlers operate from the harbour and what could be better than watching fishing boats landing their catch surrounded by hungry seagulls looking for a free lunch, whilst tucking into a traditional pasty or proper Cornish ice cream.

Sharks and boat trips!

Why not take to the high seas on one of the local boat trips to catch mackerel or even a Shark. Did you know that Looe is the Shark angling centre of Great Britain?

For a more leisurely pursuit you could enjoy a trip on a glass bottomed boat and see life under the ocean. Or take a cruise around unspoilt St George’s (Looe) Island or even to many other charming towns and villages in the area. If you’re lucky during your stay, you may catch a glimpse of our local seals or perhaps a dolphin swimming by.

Other activities include sailing, golf, bowls and tennis. A riding school and stables are nearby. The Cornish Coastal Path, cliff and river walks are very popular. If travelling by car, Looe is an ideal base to explore the whole of the ancient county of Cornwall famous for its spectacular coastline and sandy beaches.

A visit to Looe will give you a real taste of Cornwall, and leave you wanting to explore the rest of the county.

The Eden Project is just 40 minutes away with the Lost Gardens of Heligan around an hours drive. Padstow and Port Isaac where Doc Martin are also a delightful and picturesque hours drive away.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
